Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay, has revealed her desire to win this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Award (TGMA) Artiste of the Year, emphasising that she deserves the award.
Speaking on her arrival in Ghana after her All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) victory, Wendy Shay noted that winning TGMA Artiste of the Year would be a landmark moment for female artistes and a source of inspiration for emerging talents in the industry.
“We are in for it, we keep working hard and l will be very thrilled if l win the award, to be honest. It will be amazing to see a female secular artiste win it for the first time alive. It will be a great inspiration for a lot of female up-and-coming artistes to look up to me,” she said.
