Ohemaa Woyeje Replies Body-Shaming Critics

WELL-KNOWN Ghanaian media personality, disc jockey (DJ) and entrepreneur, Ohemaa Woyeje, has been another target of body-shaming and online bullying, with critics mocking her appearance, including comments about her hips and body shape.

Critics have used insulting language, such as referring to her body parts in derogatory terms, which Ohemaa Woyeje has described as attempts to body-shame her.

Despite the insults, she has expressed pride in her body, as she calls it, “natural” physique, while condemning the unprofessional attitude of some online critics.

In a post on social media, she wrote, “So many women paying huge money and risking to go under the knife just for curves (hips) and flat tummy (6 packs) and additionally obey mandatory maintenance rules after the surgeries that often doesn’t have a perfect finishing.

“Others also have to work extra hard at the gym just to look smart as #AdjoaRasta… who says she’s beautiful than the naturally endowed #smoothskin 3MotherOfTwo 3AdjoaRasta again? No makeup! No flat tummy tea! No surgery! After two kids! Them confused #Ohemaawoyeje is beautiful without a 3rd party validation. I know who I am ‘Inobore’.”

Known for her vibrant personality and multilingual abilities – fluent in languages like Hausa, Ga, Patois, Ewe, and Bono, she has been praised for her distinguished service in the media landscape.

Ohemaa hosts the mid-morning show “Y’adumanie” on Angel 102.9 FM and has worked with notable stations like Sky FM, Spirit FM, and Adom FM.

She’s also an accomplished artiste, releasing songs like ‘Hustler’ and collaborating with artistes like King Jerry. Ohemaa has received several awards, including Best Female Radio DJ of the Year at the Ghana DJ Awards and Most Influential Radio Personality of the Year 2025 at the Ghana Doctors and Business Awards.

Additionally, she’s an author, launching her book ‘2D Experience’ in 2023, and an entrepreneur, owning businesses like Ohemaa Woyeje Ice Bar and Ohemaa Woyeje Ventures.
