Dr. Ato Baah Forson
The upcoming Blackstar Acclamation Honorary, 2025/6, is a testament to the country’s (Ghana) commitment to recognizing and celebrating excellence in various fields. Scheduled to take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the luxurious Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, starting at 9:30 pm, this event promises to be a grand celebration of outstanding achievements and contributions to Ghana’s development.
The Blackstar Acclamation Honorary is a prestigious recognition scheme that was created and designed in 2013 to project the values of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s ambition to champion Africa’s economic outlook.
As Ghana seeks to reset its economy and build investor confidence, this award scheme serves as a beacon of hope and a celebration of the country’s progress.
By honoring individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to their respective fields, the award scheme aims to promote indigenous products and celebrate the essence of investor contributions.
This year’s event is particularly special, as it will honor prominent politicians under the 4th Republic, especially those who served in the Mahama Administration, for their extraordinary performance. The World Diplomatic Federation and its affiliates, Rectitude International Mission (RIM), Confederation of Governance Assessment Institute (COGAI), and Bureau of Research on Governance, Commerce, and Administration (BORGCA), have come together to recognize and celebrate the achievements of these individuals, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence in their respective roles.
Some of the notable politicians who will be honored include Dr. Ato Baah Forson, Haruna Iddrisu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Eric Opoku, and John Jinapor. These individuals have made significant contributions to Ghana’s development and have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence in their respective roles.
Dr. Ato Baah Forson, for instance, has been recognized as Africa’s Most Outstanding Finance Minister for 2025 by the Africa Development Council (ADC) Leadership Ratings and Awards. He was commended for his prudent economic management, fiscal discipline, and financial reforms. Specifically, he has championed measures to stabilize inflation, enhance budget credibility, and promote responsible debt management.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on the other hand, has had a remarkable first year as Minister for Foreign Affairs, with 35 notable achievements. Some of his notable accomplishments include diplomatic victories, passport system improvements, and strengthening international relations. He was also awarded the “Most Dynamic Minister” by the Africa Development Council for his diplomatic prowess.
These individuals, along with 15 other notable politicians from each of the two major political parties, NDC and NPP, will be honored for their outstanding performance and contributions to their respective fields. They have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence, and their achievements serve as a motivation to others to strive for similar excellence.
In addition to honoring politicians, the event will also feature special honors for expatriates and indigenous business leaders who have made significant contributions to Ghana’s economic development. Industry captains whose companies have excelled over the years will also be recognized, highlighting the importance of the private sector in driving economic growth and development.
We are delighted to inform you that several leading companies, including Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd., Justmoh Construction, Amen Scientific Herbal Hospital, M& G Pharmaceuticals, Happy Sunshine Company, JOSHOB Construction, Pharmanova Ghana Ltd, Procus Ghana Ltd, and several others, will be receiving awards in recognition of their outstanding contributions to their respective industries and the development of Ghana.
These companies have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation, and their products and services are a testament to their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. By honoring these companies, the award scheme recognizes the importance of indigenous businesses in driving economic growth and development.
The Blackstar Acclamation Honorary is a celebration of excellence and a recognition of the outstanding contributions that individuals and organizations have made to Ghana’s development.
