The spirited market women of Mokola, part of the Happy Town Project, have painted a stunning portrait of President John Dramani Mahama.

This artistic tribute celebrates his contributions to shaping Ghana’s economic landscape and showcases the women’s appreciation for his leadership.

Collaborating with renowned artist Anthony Jefferson Hanson, known as Ashenso_gh, the market women poured their hearts into creating a vibrant representation of President Mahama.

According to them, the portrait not only reflects their admiration but also symbolises Mahama’s commitment to the people of Ghana.

In an enthusiastic video shared on their social media page, the market women expressed their desire to present the portrait directly to the president.

They called on President Mahama to invite them to his residence for a personal meeting, hoping to discuss important topics such as visual art and the vital role of market women in the economy.

The heartwarming video captured the painting process and quickly garnered applause from Ghanaians online.

The caption read: “What an amazing moment we shared, painting the President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama with Happy Town Project. This is to say thank you to the current government for what they’ve done, what they are doing, and what they are yet to do. We can see it, and so we say more grease to your elbow, Mr. President. This is a gift from us to you, hopefully opening doors for us to meet and discuss topics that matter.”
