The father-in-law of Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD) CEO, Sammy Gyamfi, Mr. Karikari, has reportedly succumbed to gunshot wounds following a robbery incident at his residence in Kumasi on Friday.
The deceased was said to have sustained several gunshots wounds during the armed attack, and was rushed to the hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.
According to reports, Mr. Karikari’s condition deteriorated while on admission and passed in the early hours of yesterday.
Meanwhile, the paper gathered that no arrest has been made yet as the police are hunting for the killers.
Other reports, also indicate that the killing had nothing to do with Sammy Gyamfi, who lives with his wife in Accra.
According to reports, Mr. Karikari was only a victim of a robbery attack.
