FLASHBACK: Bullgod and Shatta Wale
ARTISTE MANAGER Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has revealed that dancehall act Shatta Wale has recorded numerous songs that can be released from now to 30 years without necessarily going to the studios to record.
Speaking in an interview with Roselyn Felli, Bullgod stated that Shatta Wale over the years has proven to be one of the hardworking acts in the country, and always seen recording songs for his fans.
“What I think you cannot take away from Shatta Wale is work. The guy is a machine. He’s a workaholic. He doesn’t leave anything to chance. He believes that if you don’t work, you won’t make it so constantly,” he said.
Bullgod further disclosed that, “I think I’ve said this elsewhere, I won’t say that. I mean, eventually it will happen, but not now. If Shatta dies today, we can release albums for him for the next 30 years, every year.
“He has so much material that he’s not even put out yet, because he’s always recording, always all the stuff that you hear now, maybe stuff he just did, but there is like, a chunk load of material he has sitting down on his computer or hard drive that is not even released. And he’s still working.”
Bullgod emphasised that, “You cannot beat anybody like that. You see, talent is different from work.”
