Tonto Dikeh
Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh has announced that she no longer wishes to be addressed as “King Tonto Dikeh.”
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Monday, the actress said the decision followed what she described as divine direction from the Holy Spirit and marks a new spiritual chapter in her life.
“In obedience to the Holy Spirit, I will no longer be addressed as ‘King Tonto Dikeh.’ You can call me ‘The Woman of God’ or ‘Evangelist Tonto.’ I’m going from a mess to a message,” she declared.
Tonto said making the announcment on March 1 was symbolic, adding that it aligns with what she believes is God’s prophecy concerning her life.
“It gladdens my heart that I can do this on the first day of March. It aligns with the prophecy of God upon my life — that He is marching me away from everything that is past and into the prophecies of a new morning,” she said.
According to her, the change reflects spiritual growth and obedience rather than a cosmetic rebrand.
“You can call me the Woman of God or Lady Evangelist Tonto Dikeh, but I do not want to be addressed as King Tonto Dikeh. This is the direction of the Holy Spirit,” she added.
Tonto Dikeh adopted the title, “King Tonto” several years ago as part of a bold personal rebranding, using it to symbolise strength and authority. The title later became a defining part of her public image.
