Foluke Daramola
Popular Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola, has said she does not feel like a married woman despite being in a long-term union.
The actress made the statement during a recent interview on the African A-List Podcast, where she spoke about her relationship with her husband, Kayode Salako.
Foluke described her husband as “the definition of peace,” noting that their relationship allows her a high level of personal freedom.
“I don’t feel like I’m married. My husband is the definition of peace for me. If I tell Kayode now that I will be going to Canada tonight and will spend up to a year there, he will say bye-bye. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t love me; he just feels like he shouldn’t cage me,” she said.
She added that their bond is rooted in friendship and mutual support. “He is my very good friend and my greatest cheerleader. When we fight, you would think that the marriage is going to end, but give us two hours, and everything will be settled,” she said.
The comments have come two years after Salako confirmed he had married another woman, Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako, while still married to Foluke Daramola. He defended the decision at the time, stating that their marriage of over a decade had not produced a biological child.
Daramola and Salako were married in 2010.
