The Black Galaxies
The Ghana national football team B delivered an impressive performance to secure a 3-0 win over Heart of Lions in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.
After a goalless first half, the breakthrough came five minutes into the restart when Ali Mohammed, a centre-back, calmly slotted home from the penalty spot. The spot-kick was awarded after Richmond Opoku was brought down in the box.
The match truly came alive in the closing stages, thanks to a standout performance from substitute Kedzie Korblah Junior. The forward doubled the lead in the 80th minute, finishing neatly after being set up by Prince Tweneboah.
Korblah, who is currently the top scorer in the Access Bank Division One League Zone Three, with 14 goals in 30 matches, sealed the victory in style. He grabbed his second goal in the 90th minute, once again benefiting from Tweneboah’s creativity to cap off a brilliant cameo.
The result highlights the growing strength and depth of the Black Galaxies squad as they continue preparations for upcoming competitions.
