Megan Thee Stallion Confirms Breakup

American rapper, Megan Thee Stallion, has confirmed her breakup with basketball player, Klay Thompson, after nearly a year of dating.

In a statement released on April 25, the rapper announced the end of the relationship, stressing the importance of trust.

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said. “Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.”

Her statement followed a series of Instagram posts in which she accused Thompson of infidelity. “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house…got ‘cold feet,’ she wrote. “Holding you down through all your horrible mood swings…now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???”

She added, “I need a real break after this one.”

Megan and Thompson, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, were first linked in the summer of 2025. The pair made their relationship public on Instagram in July and later appeared together on the red carpet.

During an earlier interview, Megan had described their relationship positively. “We met and it was such a meet cute, it was like a movie,” she said, adding that Thompson was “the nicest person I’ve ever met.”

The two were last seen together in a photo shared by the rapper on social media just a month before the breakup.
