Yaw Siki
Musician, Yaw Siki, has revealed that he began drinking alcohol while he was in Junior High School (JHS).
“I started drinking when I was in JHS,” he stated in an interview on Hitz FM.
He added that his interest in cannabis developed later during his time in Senior High School, influenced by hip-hop music.
According to him, constant references to marijuana in songs by artists he listened to made him curious to try it.
“Hip-hop made me curious about weed. The people I listened to always talked about it, so I wanted to try,” he said.
Yaw Siki clarified that his drinking was not influenced by hip-hop, noting that the two experiences were separate.
He said his past experiences have helped shape his current lifestyle and views as someone who has given his life to Jesus Christ.
