The deceased lying in a supine position
An unidentified man, believed to be in his late thirties, has been killed in a hit-and-run incident near the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) campus at Tanoso, in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 28, close to a Shell filling station in the area.
Police from Tanoso responded to the scene and conveyed the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for preservation and identification.
Preliminary investigations have been launched to establish the identity of the deceased and track down the driver responsible for the incident, who fled the scene after the crash.
Authorities are appealing to members of the public, particularly families with missing relatives, to contact the Tanoso Police Station to assist in identifying the deceased.
The Assembly Member for the Tanoso Electoral Area, Agwangwalu, who confirmed the incident to the DAILY GUIDE, also urged the public to volunteer any relevant information that could help the police trace the family of the deceased and aid ongoing investigations.
