A Tourism Trade Show has been held in Ethiopia to launch Ghana Month at Kuriftu African Village.
The event brought together business leaders, tourism players, diplomats, creatives and cultural groups from Ghana and Ethiopia.
The programme was organised by Bridge54 and coordinated by The Black Star Experience Secretariat led by Rex Owusu Marfo.
Guests enjoyed Ghanaian food, chocolate tasting, Kente weaving, Shea Butter exhibitions and fashion displays.
The event was aimed at promoting tourism, culture, trade and business partnerships between Ghana and Ethiopia.
Tadiwos G. Belete, CEO of Kuriftu Resorts, announced plans to open a shop in Ethiopia to sell Ghanaian products.
Officials also discussed plans to strengthen tourism cooperation between Ghana and Ethiopia.
Participants welcomed Ghana’s visa-free travel policy for Africans starting from May 25, saying it will help improve trade and cultural connections across Africa.
The event was attended by Robert Afriyie, representatives from the United Nations and other guests.
Organisers say the programme will help create more opportunities for tourism, trade and cultural exchange between both countries.
