Funny Face
Comedian and actor, Funny Face, has opened up about some of the experiences he had during his stay at psychiatric facilities, including Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and Pantang Hospital.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, the actor described parts of his mental health treatment journey as both difficult and interesting.
According to Funny Face, fellow patients often approached him for conversations and even offered him advice. They also ate imaginary food on the floor.
“Imagine someone who is crazier than you coming to advise you,” he said.
“I had a friend in there, and after hearing my story, he told me my situation is even worse.”
The comedian revealed that he sometimes joined patients in their unusual conversations to make them feel comfortable around him.
“In my quest to make them feel I understand them, I also indulged them. We ate imaginary food on the floor and had weird conversations that made no sense,” he added.
Funny Face said the experience became part of his recovery journey, which he has publicly shared on several occasions to create awareness about mental health.
