Media personality Samuel Attah-Mensah, popularly known as Sammens, has called for an immediate halt to politicians and celebrity visits to the Black Stars camp.
His call follows the increasing visitation by some high-profile Ghanaians to the Black Stars training camp to either share a word or serenade them for their previous success, a situation many have called for a stop to.
Sammens, on his X page, called on the managers of the team, Ghana Football Association (GFA) to put a stop to these visitations as it may shift the focus of the team in the FIFA World Cup tournament.
“Black Stars!! Enough of the visits by Politicians and State Officials to your camp. In fact, let’s suspend all these high-profile visits and let them focus 200%. Everybody wants to go and address the players. Boi33 boi,” he wrote.
His comments follow a wave of viral visits to the team’s camp, including from entertainers like King Paluta and actor Yaw Dabo, as well as political figures like Ibrahim Mahama. Several celebrities also engaged with players on camera.
Critics argue the frequent attention has distracted the squad and contributed to a dip in focus since the 2026 World Cup began.
Sammens insists the team needs less noise and more concentration if Ghana is to make a real impact in the tournament.
