Sista Afia
Ghanaian artiste, Sista Afia, shared a black-and-white video of herself recording her standout verse for the remix of ‘Don’t Come Too Close II’ by Okese 1, Darko Vibes, and Joey B, which dropped around August 2.
She captioned the video, “Beast mood activated Don’t Come To Close Remix @Okese1.”
The high-energy dancehall track quickly hit number one on Audiomack Ghana and Ghana Apple Music charts, with listeners calling her rap skills better than most male rappers and saying she matches the guys “boot for boot”.
Okese 1 reposted her clip with excitement, shouting, “Na todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy,” as shares and streams kept climbing across platforms.
On X, many have posted clips of Sista Afia’s video, showering her with praises. Latif on X wrote, “You didn’t let the men overshadow you kraa, you match them boot for boot.”
Ray Ankrah wrote: “Ghana ankasa talent dey here oo but we don’t support our own, coz what Tems and Tyla dey sing wey Sista Afia no fit sing (sic)?? lol.”
Larbi SarkCess stated, “Sister Afia sabi the dancehall vibes pass. Asomasi and I’m not even capping. My goodness (sic).”
Shadrack Amonoo Crabe added, “One Of The Hardest Verses I’ve Heard This Year, SHE COOKED.”
