SEATS OF Strength, an annual breast cancer awareness event hosted by the Women of Valour Network, founded by Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, will be held on Sunday, October 18, at the ESP Hotel in Labone.
This year, Women of Valour will present an unforgettable tribute to three extraordinary nurses under the theme: “Ordinary Nurses, One Unforgettable Tribute.” The event, slated for the ESP Hotel in the heart of Labone, will celebrate the women who care when it matters most.
The honorees are Naomi, a head nurse and oncology nurse specialist shaping the next generation of breast cancer care; Priscilla, an oncology nurse specialist who restores confidence by creating wigs and using her makeup skills to help women see themselves beyond cancer; and Enam, an oncology nurse specialist whose compassion uplifts patients and families walking this journey.
“They don’t wear capes; they wear scrubs. This October, we celebrate the hearts behind the healing. Seats of Strength 2026 comes off on Sunday, October 18, at 1:00 p.m. at the ESP Hotel, Labone,” Nana Aba said.
The gathering honors, uplifts, and celebrates breast cancer survivors and fighters, sharing real-life stories of struggle, success, and hope. The initiative highlights that breast cancer affects both women and men, aiming to break the silence and stigma around the disease.
