International social-commerce enterprise, IGNITE, says it is targeting expansion across Sub-Saharan Africa through a business model focused on product distribution, affiliate networks and digital learning.

According to the company, Ghana is an important market for developing a model that can be replicated across the region, with its product portfolio covering wellness, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered education, nutrition, lifestyle and home-care products.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, IGNITE operates an e-commerce platform that distributes products globally. The company said it has attracted more than 7,000 brands within about five months of its outdoor launch in April 2026.

Speaking at a media engagement, a member of the IGNITE Global Advisory Board, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, said the company’s expansion would be driven by responsible market entry, local partnerships and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Mr. Adisi said Ghana was an important market as IGNITE strengthened its presence across Sub-Saharan Africa.

He explained that the combination of products and entrepreneurship opportunities was intended to support people participating in the digital economy.

He, however, stressed that IGNITE’s business should not be confused with investment or deposit-taking activities.

Mr. Adisi also addressed concerns arising from the previous association of some individuals linked to IGNITE with other direct-selling organisations.

He said the employment history of such individuals did not establish a corporate or financial relationship between IGNITE and other platforms.

He further warned against individuals using the IGNITE name to promote unauthorised investment packages.

According to him, the company was strengthening sensitisation and training for business affiliates and would take action against individuals who breached its procedures.

Mr. Adisi said IGNITE was also taking steps to establish a physical office and a hotline in Ghana to provide a local point of contact for concerns involving the company’s name.

He added that the company was in discussions with some security agencies, including the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), on possible collaboration.

According to IGNITE’s 2026 product catalogue, the company describes itself as a “next-generation social e-commerce enterprise” with product categories including Sanarey for wellness, Brainify for AI-powered online education, Rejuvenation for nutrition, Sena for lifestyle and Lara for home care.

The company stated that its Brainify platform offers six specialised learning paths covering areas such as artificial intelligence, content creation, financial intelligence, the digital economy, development and digital marketing.

Head of Development and Strategy at Brainify, John Healy, said the AI-powered learning platform was targeting underserved communities in the Global South with practical skills in AI, digital marketing and content creation.

Mr. Healy said the platform was designed to provide guided learning paths that could take users from basic knowledge to practical application of AI.

He said Brainify was also creating opportunities for people in Ghana and other parts of Africa to acquire AI skills through practical learning.

A Product Specialist for Energy and Wellness Products, Dr. Shafi Shaik, said the company was seeking to increase awareness of its products in Ghana as part of efforts to expand its activities in the country.

Dr. Shaik said the company’s wellness portfolio included products it believed could meet growing consumer interest in technology-driven health and lifestyle solutions.
