Adentan NPP PC To Sponsor 5,000 BECE Candidates

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Adentan Constituency, Akosua Manu, has launched an initiative to offer free mathematics and science lessons for over 5,000 students in the constituency as part of their preparation towards the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

As part of the initiative, a pilot session was held at the Christ Faith Mission School recently for over 100 students in the constituency.

The students, who received laboratory and science practical training, thanked the PC for the support and said the training afforded them the opportunity to understand most of the abstracts concepts they have learnt over the years.

According to them, it will go a long way to enhance their knowledge and skills in using laboratory equipment to enable them excel in their examination.

Speaking to patrons and teaching staff at the end of the training, Akosua Manu assured them that all public schools in the constituency will benefit from the programme.

She said her aim is to prepare the students to appreciate science and mathematics which are often described as difficult subjects largely due to the lack of hands-on practical training.

Akosua Manu also  known as Kozie, therefore,  expressed her readiness to support all students in the constituency to ensure each of them benefits from the government’s flagship Free Senior High School (SHS) policy that has benefited millions of students in the last seven years under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo.

“Education is a priority for me and so I will ensure that this initiative doesn’t end there but also roll out other programmes to improve learning outcomes in the constituency,” she added.
