Kumawood actor, Agya Koo, has dismissed accusations of sabotaging his colleague Clement Bonney, known as Mr. Beautiful.
He attributed his colleague’s struggles to personal choices and industry dynamics.
The exchange began when Mr. Beautiful, during an interview on Adom TV, alleged that Agya Koo had conspired with producers to limit his opportunities.
Mr. Beautiful claimed that Agya Koo pressured the Chief Executive Officer of Miracle Films to exclude him from roles, warning that he would refuse to participate in projects otherwise.
According to Mr. Beautiful, Agya Koo viewed him as a “threat” and sought to limit his rise in the industry. Agya Koo, however, has categorically denied these claims, calling Mr. Beautiful’s narrative baseless.
In a statement on his X page, Agya Koo argued that Mr. Beautiful’s career trajectory is more likely linked to external factors, including the repercussions of his political associations.
He suggested that Mr. Beautiful’s public support for former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) may have alienated some audiences.
“Mr. Beautiful, blame Mahama for your dead career. He brought dumsor and nkoko nkete. Vote for Bawumia,” Agya Koo wrote on his X page.
