Highlife sensation, Akwaboah Jnr, has announced the regrettable cancellation of the highly anticipated 2024 edition of his annual Shades of Love concert.

The event, held every February 14 to commemorate Valentine’s Day, has endeared itself to the hearts of music lovers.

In a statement, Akwaboah expressed his deep regret over the cancellation, recognising the disappointment it may bring to his devoted fanbase.

“For the past six years, Valentine’s Day has been synonymous with Akwaboah’s Shades of Love concert. It pains me to announce that we will not be able to hold the concert this year,” he indicated.

The Shades of Love concert has garnered a stellar reputation as a must-attend event for romance enthusiasts, featuring Akwaboah’s soulful Highlife melodies in a celebration of love and affection. However, unforeseen circumstances this year have necessitated the difficult decision to call off the show.

Akwaboah reiterated his unwavering commitment to delivering excellence to his fans, acknowledging that the current circumstances would preclude him from providing the memorable experience they have come to anticipate.

“When it became evident that we could not meet the high standards expected at the Shades of Love concert, the decision became clear. I always strive to offer you the best experience because you deserve nothing less,” he articulated.

Despite the cancellation, Akwaboah assured fans of his continued dedication to providing exceptional musical experiences throughout the year.

He pledged to keep them informed about upcoming concerts and tours, hinting at some exciting surprises in store for Valentine’s Day.
