Alan Cancels Today’s Public Address

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the presidential candidate hopeful of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has postponed indefinitely his planned address to the public on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, following the party’s special delegates conference held on August 26.

The former Trade and Industry Minister had promised to address the public after the analysis of the results of the Special Electoral College Election by his Alan for President (A4P) 2024 Campaign Coordination team.

Initially scheduled for a live broadcast at 10 am, the address was later changed to a press conference at 2pm. However, in a fresh notice released by Alan’s press aide, Barima Sarpong, the event has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The announcement comes after Kyerematen, who recently placed third during the selection process, pledged to deliver a public broadcast to outline the next steps for his campaign in light of the analysis.
Initial reports suggested Alan Kyerematen was going to step down from the citing alleged infractions in the super delegates conference.

But with the latest developments, Mr Kyerematen next move is unpredictable as some are suggesting that he may be part of the electoral process towards election 2024.

Expressing gratitude, Kyerematen thanked God for His grace and guidance throughout his political journey, and congratulated his fellow candidates who took part in the selection process, acknowledging their efforts and commitment.

He also expressed appreciation to the delegates of the Special Electoral College for their votes, highlighting the importance of their role in the initial selection process.

Additionally, he thanked his family, the Alan for President (A4P) 2024 campaign team, and members of the Pro-Alan Groups for their dedicated support towards his campaign agenda.

However, amidst his joy of being selected, Kyerematen expressed deep sorrow over a violent incident that occurred during the selection process, where one of his agents was reportedly assaulted.
He condemned the assault, considering it a stain on the integrity of the internal democratic process within the NPP. Kyerematen wished his colleague a speedy recovery and assured him and his family of his unwavering support for their wellbeing.

In conclusion, Kyerematen reassured his supporters, especially those at the grassroots level, that the battle still belongs to the Lord and those who wait upon Him will have their strength renewed.

He concluded his statement by praying for blessings upon Ghana and expressing his hope for a great and strong nation.

With his public address postponed until further notice, supporters and stakeholders eagerly await further updates on Kyerematen’s campaign and the subsequent steps he plans to take in his bid for the presidency.
