All Set For Hoodtalk Music Festival

The organisers of the music festival dubbed ‘HoodTalk Music Festival’ have revealed that over thirty (30) performing hiplife, dancehall, Afrobeat and highlife artistes will be performing at the event.

Organised by DreamChild Foundation in partnership with an audio-visual company, Virtual Hub, the first concert of the HoodTalk Music Festival is slated for Saturday, September 2 at the Kingdom Gardens, Ashiyie-Regimanuel Katamanso Estate in Accra.

Other concerts are scheduled for Tamale (September), Kumasi and Takoradi (October) and Ho (November).

It is being organised to raise a provisional sum of $14 million for the construction of five paediatric clinics.

The land at Ashiyie on which the Jazz at the Park concert was held, has been donated for the construction of the first paediatric clinic by DreamChild Foundation.

A number of top musical personalities, including music fans, among others are expected to grace the festival.

An initiative of the DreamChild Foundation, the festival will use music to bring young Ghanaians together to discuss current issues regarding their progress while engaging in healthy entertainment.

Some of the artistes billed for the event include the African Dance Ensemble, Raja Casablanca, Bra Jay, Omama, Yaw Darling, Crispen, AFEL, Exco Bwoi, Lion Judah, among others.

Some of the veteran Ghanaian artistes and a number of foreign acts have been invited to perform at the event which is expected to attract thousands of music fans from all walks of life.

According to the organisers, the event, which is free, will also be streamed live on social media platforms including YouTube and Facebook.
