Badu Kobi Mocked Over Failed Brazil Prophecy

Badu Kobi

Founder and leader of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, was over the weekend the centre of trolls by Ghanaian social media users.

This was after his prophecy that Brazil will win Copa America 2021 tournament woefully failed to manifest.

On Saturday, hours to the Copa America final match kick off between Brazil and Argentina, the man of God said God revealed to him that Brazil will win.

In a video he recorded and shared on Instagram, he said although Argentina had Lionel Messi in its team, God had ordained Brazil to win the trophy.

“Most people don’t know this and they question, how a prophet is able to talk about football, health matters, energy, future matters but let me tell you that…God rules in men’s matters. There is nothing that you can say that God is not interested in,” he indicated.

“Now for the match which will happen tonight between Brazil and Argentina, Brazil will win. Argentina will not win, Messi is part of Argentina, he is a great footballer but the night is not for them, the night is for Brazil and Brazil will win this cup. That is what the spirit of the Lord has revealed to me,” he added.

But after the final whistle, Argentina came out victorious. The team beat Brazil 1-0 to win the trophy, contrary to what God allegedly revealed to the prophet.

A lot of social media users as a result took to their platforms to mock the man of God.

Badu Kobi trended heavily on Twitter. Majority of Twitter users made fun of him and how his church members will be feeling about their leader.

“Badu Kobi is the reason why I bet Brazil dema back with my woman (sic).

“We for catch am and lash am cuz Rydee somebro dey go eat ma woman for free (crying emoji) (sic)”, ohianiba_ tweeted.

“So right now Archipalago and Badu Kobi who’s the real prophet!!! I prophesy that Di Maria will score and Argentina will win!! (Laughing emoji) At the moment I’m planing on opening a church!!! (Laughing emoji) (sic),” Archipalagodb  also tweeted.

Other persons described him as a fake prophet while some also wondered why he even came out to predict the match.
