Kingsley Owusu-Achau
Bechem United FC president Kingsley Owusu-Achau has been honoured in the 60th anniversary of the Brong-Ahafo Awards & Dinner Night.
Themed ‘Unity In Separation’, the prestigious event which was characterised by the display of colourful traditions, attracted high-profile guests to the plush Eusbeth Hotel International Conference Centre in Sunyani over the weekend.
Mr. Owusu-Achau— a business magnate, is a proud son of Bechem, now Ahafo Region— received due recognition alongside men and women who have contributed immensely to development of the then Brong-Ahafo Region.
The construction of a stadium at Bechem, a brand new library and ICT centre at Bechem, among others, are some of the infrastructural support to his credit.
He has immensely supported the female ward at the Government Hospital since 1995 till now.
Other awardees included the current and former IGP, Oppong Boanu, and Owusu Nsiah.
Others were Adjoa Yeboah Afari, Prof. Ekumfi Ameyaw, Yaw Appau (Supreme Court judge), Dr. Saarah Mensah, among others.
