BetKing Announces Presence In Ghana

BETKING, a sports and digital entertainment company in Africa has officially announced its presence in the Ghanaian market with a colourful ceremony in Accra.

The ceremony, held at MultiChoice Ghana Limited, had in attendance representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS); the Ghana Gaming Commission, football legends among other dignitaries and key stakeholders.

With its entry into Ghana, BetKing aims at positioning itself as the betting platform of choice in the country by providing customers with trusted products, incredible odds, and fast pay-out time offers.

Managing Director Kingmakers, Gossy Ukanwoke, in his remarks explained that with BetKing’s foray into the Ghanaian market, the company would focus on its strategic intent to be a leader in sports and digital entertainment in Africa.

Delivering an address on behalf of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, the Head of Policy for the Ministry, Mohammed Sannie Adams stated that: “Our ministry is focused on the development of football as a business, contributing to the national development of our communities. We want to develop the entire value chain, from playing to production and partners such as BetKing in order to achieve the progressive development of youth through sports.”

Commissioner for the Ghana Gaming Commission, Peter Mireku intimated that BetKing’s entry into Ghana is an indication that the Commission was doing something right, resulting in entrants from credible players like BetKing while stressing on the need for BetKing to fully comply with regulatory policies put in place by the government.

Alex Okyere, Managing Director of MultiChoice Ghana remarked that the partnership with BetKing provides the opportunity to explore the pursuit of digital and entertainment offerings beyond betting and broadcasting.
