The Celebrity Golf Club at Sakumono will host this year’s Ghana-China Friendship Golf Invitational which tees off on September 28.
And according to Wang Shu, captain of the Ghana Chinese Golf Association, the 18-hole event commemorates the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Wang Shu said the competition seeks to deepen the already healthy relationship between Ghana and China. Sports and golf in particular has served as a useful platform to foster healthy friendship between these two countries.
“We are expecting a very good competition and believe we will put together a tournament befitting a 70th anniversary celebration,” Wang Shu stated.
Golfers who would excel in various categories would be rewarded for their efforts.
