Chiefs Push For Ameyaw In Dormaa West

The Nkrankwanta Sub-Divisional Council in Dormaa West in the Bono Region is pushing for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman in Italy, Stephen Adjei Ameyaw, to become the next District Chief Executive of the area.

The council at a news conference in Nkrankwanta, Dormaa, yesterday, urged President Akufo-Addo to pick the Italy Chairman to accelerate the development of the area.

“I, Nana Adjei Ekyea Akombi II, Chief of Nkrankwanta, Nana Bru Yaa Asarnara, Queen mother of Nkrankwanta and the entire sub-chiefs would like to bring to the notice of the President to appoint Mr. Stephen Adjei Ameyaw as the District Chief Executive of the district.”

According to the council, Mr. Adjei Ameyaw has contributed massively to the development of the constituency.

They said he donated an ambulance to the district before the disbursement of the ambulances project were brought in by President Akufo-Addo government under the 1 District 1 Ambulance initiative.

“Mr. Adjei Ameyaw gave seventeen (17) hospital beds, an air condition, floor tiles amounting to GH¢30,000 for the construction of children’s ward and a generator to the Nkrankwanta District Hospital,” they said, adding “moreover, Mr. Adjei Ameyaw in education sector presented fifteen (15) computers to Nkrankwanta Senior High Technical School, the only secondary school in the district, and has constructed a three-classroom Day Care block for Presby Primary School.”

The chiefs said Mr. Adjei Ameyaw has established a palm oil factory in the district, which created employment for some people, thereby reducing the number of unemployment in the district.

They said the Italy Chairman is approachable and is politically tolerant, and would help the district if he is considered.
