EOCO Gets New Boss

Stephen R. Dapaa-Addo

An experienced lawyer, Stephen R. Dapaa-Addo, has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

He is replacing Commissioner of Police (Rtd) Frank Adu-Poku, who retired in May, and his appointment took effect from last Friday, July 9, 2021.

Until the elevation, Mr. Dapaa-Addo has been with the EOCO on secondment from the National Security Secretariat as a Special Advisor to the Office, since July 2019.

A Ghana News Agency Report said that, Mr. Dapaa-Addo practised in Ghana as a State Attorney and in Nigeria, where he worked with the Rivers State Ministry of Justice and rose to the position of Director of Civil Litigation.
