Fire Trinity Ministry International (FTMI) has organised its Easter Convention at its headquarters at Aburaso in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, with a call on Christians to embrace forgiveness and promote peace in society.
The four-day convention, which began on Thursday, April 2 and ended on Sunday, April 5, brought together members from Akyeremade, Atwima Yabi and Oyibi (Kon Divisional Area) in the Greater Accra Region.
The event, themed “The Blood That Speaks,” was aimed at deepening the spiritual growth of members and strengthening their faith in Christ.
Speakers at the convention included Pastor Solomon Akwasi Poku and Pastor Gideon Agyapong, both from the Akyeremade and Atwima Yabi branch of the church, while the Founder and General Overseer of FTMI, Apostle Dr. George Amoako Alhassan, delivered the main sermon.
Preaching on the topic “He Has Risen,” based on Luke 24:1-12, Apostle Dr. Amoako Alhassan underscored the importance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, describing it as a source of hope for believers.
He urged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith, noting that the resurrection confirms the truth and reliability of the Word of God.
According to him, while other beliefs may falter, the Word of God remains true and without error.
He further indicated that the resurrection of Christ brings peace and joy to the world, particularly among Christians, and charged members to reflect Christ in their daily lives by promoting peace wherever they find themselves.
The FTMI leader stressed the need for forgiveness, describing it as key to unity, good health and spiritual growth, adding that the inability to forgive hinders one’s spiritual development.
He also encouraged members to devote time to study the Word of God, in order to withstand life’s challenges.
As part of the convention, Apostle Dr. Amoako Alhassan led members to observe the Lord’s Supper and offered prayers for the congregation, Ghana and the world at large.
He reaffirmed that Jesus Christ is the only one who died and resurrected to demonstrate His divine authority and power to transform lives.
The convention ended with participants renewing their commitment to live by the teachings of Christ, particularly in the areas of peace, hope and forgiveness.
