CEO OF Glitz Africa and UNFPA Ghana Ambassador, Claudia Lumor, spent the Christmas holidays with residents of the Oforikrom constituency in Kumasi especially widows making donations to them.
A passionate advocate for the welfare of women and children, Claudia Lumor joined the UNFPA in its efforts to educate and support women and girls on pertinent issues concerning their reproductive and sexual health, education, economic independence among others.
Since then, Claudia keeps looking out for other opportunities to reach out and help vulnerable women groups with their needs.
Realising the harsh conditions older women especially widows face in their bid to survive, she went out of her way to donate some hampers and envelopes so as to bring a smile on their faces as we enter the New Year.
The widows living in the Oforikrom constituency expressed their appreciation for the kind gesture shown by Claudia and conveyed their relief on starting the New Year on such a generous note.
Claudia expressed gratitude for the opportunity to give to others during the Christmas season and assured them of more support whenever they were in need.
