Scenes from the taking over ceremony in Lebanon
Lieutenant Colonel Frank Gyebi Abrokwah has taken over as Commanding Officer of the Ghana troop at the Beirut National Headquarters, Al-Qouzah, Lebanon.
He is the CO of GH/87 and takes over from CO GH/86, Lt Col Abass Atuluk.
The outgoing CO, DGN Online military sources say, congratulated the incoming CO and encouraged him to continue from where they left off.
He was confident that the incoming CO and his troop will work diligently to raise the flag of Ghana high.
The CO GH/86 used the occasion to advice the GH/87 troop to stay safe and abide by all Covid-19 protocols to enable them add to the successes of past Ghanaian battalions.
Lt Col Gyebi-Abrokwah was commissioned in 1999 as 2/Lt and posted to the elite Airborne Force.
He also served as GSOII Intel at the Formation HQ.
He was the Dep Dir Discipline and Department Director Personnel Services at the General HQ of the Ghana Armed Forces.
