Cop In Cooler For Rape

Padmore Asare, a lance corporal  with license number 38819 G/CPL and stationed at Jema Police Station in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region, has been remanded in police custody for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old junior high student of Jema-Nkwanta Methodist Junior High School.

The father of the girl, Alex Agyeman, 31, who happens to be a teacher at the same school, reported to police at Jema that on 24th April, 2019, Padmore dragged her to his rented room at Jema-Nkwanta and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her. Alex brought his daughter’s blood-stained pant to the police station and made a report with her.

The daughter informed the police that Padmore dragged her into his room at about 2: 30pm on that day and forcibly had sex with her, threatening her never to tell anybody.  But the girl later reported the incident to the father, who lodged a complaint with the law enforcement agent at Jema. She was issued with a police medical form and received medical attention at the Jema Government Hospital, where she was treated and discharged.

Padmore has since been taken into police custody pending further investigations.

In a related development, Attah Yaw, 25, from Campso near Nsoatre in Sunyani West District, has been detained by the police in the area for defiling an eight-year-old girl on a cocoa farm.

The grandmother of little girl, Faustina  Adobea, reported to the police that on April 24,  2019, at about 6pm, Yaw lured her granddaughter (name withheld) into a nearby cocoa farm and defiled her.

The Bono Regional Police Spokesman, Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, confirmed this to DAILY GUIDE.
