Deputy Minister of Finance, Abena Osei Asare, who doubles as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Atiwa East Constituency in the Eastern Region, has donated food items to the Zongo communities in her constituency.
The items include; 75 bags of rice, 40 boxes of cooking oil among others.
They are to be shared among the 10 Zongo communities in the Constituency in line with the celebration of this year’s Eid -ul-Adha.
The communities are Anyinam, Ankaase, Enyiresi, Sekyere, New Jejeti, Awurensua and the surrounding areas.
The Atiwa East Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Albert Yaw Antwi, who presented the items on her behalf entreated the Muslims Communities in the constituency to practice peaceful co-existence and ethnic tolerance.
The Chief Imam of Anyinam Zongo Adamu Mohammed, receiving the items expressed their gratitude to the MP for all the various support she has given the Muslim communities since she became their represrntative.
Meanwhile, before the Salah presentation, the Deputy Minister of Finance personally presented some desktop computers with a printer and library books to Awosoase D /A Junior High School.
The donation was received by Nana Yaw Asare, Gyasehene of Awosoase on behalf of the school.
