Scenes from Carte Efe’s stream
Selected crew members of DGL (Dance, Grow, and Live) Academy made a surprise appearance on Carter Efe’s Twitch live stream, delivering high-energy performances to Ghanaian tracks that drew praise from the host and viewers.
The group, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most sought-after dance crews, performed to popular songs including DhopeNation’s ‘Kakalika’ and several Azonto-inspired tracks. Their routines quickly set the tone for the stream, generating excitement in the live chat.
A standout moment came when the DGL dancers and Carter Efe joined for an impromptu joint routine, sparking laughter and applause from the audience.
After the performance, Carter Efe commended the group, describing them as “one of the best dance groups on the continent.”
The appearance gives DGL Academy significant exposure. Carter Efe’s stream is currently Africa’s largest on Twitch, regularly pulling over 80,000 peak viewers and boasting more than 406,000 followers as of early 2026. For the academy, it provided instant visibility to potential students, fans, and collaborators across Nigeria, Ghana, and the diaspora without paid promotion.
Carter Efe’s platform has become a hub for entertainment and culture, featuring A-list guests such as Davido, Cubana Chief Priest, Victor Osimhen, and Shallipopi. DGL Academy’s presence on the stream positions the group alongside Afrobeats and sports elites, reinforcing its image as an “industry-level” dance school focused on training and talent development.
Founded by Dancegod Lloyd, DGL Academy operates under the motto “Dance, Grow, and Live” and has grown from five dancers to a crew of about 20.
