DJ Lord OTB Is DJ Of The Year

 

Celebrated Ghanaian disk jockey (DJ), DJ Lord OTB, last Saturday won the DJ of the Year award at the just ended Guinness Ghana DJ Awards held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The event was organised to reward hardworking radio and mobile DJs who have contributed immensely to the growth of the entertainment industry in Ghana.
DJ Lord OTB, who won the award for the first time, beat competition from the likes of DJ Mac Tontoh, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Nyce and DJ Faculty.
DJ Lord also took home the Best Southern Zone DJ award at the event, which is the 11th edition. He took over from DJ Vyrusky, a five-time DJ of the Year.
Other DJs who won awards include TMSK DJ (Female DJ of the Year), Hitz FM’s DJ Bridash (Record Promoter of the Year), AD DJ earned Afrobeat DJ of the Year, DJ Phantom took home the Best Student DJ title, among others.
The ceremony was attended by number of Ghanaian DJs, radio and television presenters, musicians as well as some stakeholders in the creative industry.
It witnessed thrilling performances from Ghanaian musicians like DopeNation, Abiana, Keche, Edem, and DSL.
Shatta Wale, who also performed at the ceremony, won the heart of music fans with his stagecraft and dance skills, and performed most of his hit songs.
He was at his best as he was able to get music fans moving and grooving to his songs. His active movements and general stage personality got his fans applauding nonstop during his performance on stage.
Ghana DJ Awards celebrates radio, mobile, and club disc jockeys, and seeks to foster the development of the Ghana music industry.
