DKB Bets GH¢4000 With Dafabet On Black Stars’ Win

Comedian DKB is sure Ghana Black Stars will be winning the ongoing 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt despite reports that a certain man of God had said the team will fail.

The former Big Brother Africa housemate has, therefore, placed a GH¢4000 bet with Dafabet at odd of 7.5 to cement his hope for the team. This means he will make a sum of GH¢30,000 from the betting company if the Black Stars wins the tournament.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars will be facing Benin in their opening game on Tuesday at 8:00pm. The team will subsequently play Cameroon and Guinea in other group matches. The main tournament kicked off on Friday, with Egypt beating Zimbabwe in the opening game. The entire continent is currently waiting anxiously for who will be crowned as the kings of Africa football.

Ghana has been tipped as one of the current favourites to lift the trophy, and DKB is one of those people who share that opinion.

According to him, he will donate the money to the Ghana Amputee Football Association as part of charity if he wins.

“I have confidence in the team, their team chemistry is exciting. There is fresh energy within the team. You can see from the videos they have been posting on social media that this is a new Black Star team. Team energy is everything, because when a team is geared towards victory, the victory will follow as it should. I believe the Black Stars don’t have a team in the competition that would be able to stop them. They are winning it hands down, that’s why I choose them to win the cup, and if they do, GH¢30,000 for Ghana Amputee Football Association,” DBK said in a statement to NEWS-ONE on Monday.

Meanwhile, the betting company also said if even DKB doesn’t win, it will donate the original bet value of GH¢ 4,000 to DKB’s chosen charity.

“We at Dafabet.com.gh are very proud to be supporting Ghana Amputee Football Association and thank DKB for his selection. Of course, we hope that Ghana does as well as they can in this world class tournament, even if Ghana fail in winning the African Cup of Nations, we will still be donating the original bet value of GH¢ 4,000 for DKB’s chosen charity,” Sybil Diawuo-Appiah, Country Manager for Dafabet Ghana, said.

Dafabet, one of Asia’s and Africa’s largest gaming companies, is now fully incorporated in Ghana and licensed by the Gaming Commission of Ghana under the Gaming Act 2006.
