Dogboe Brushes Otake Aside …To Retain WBO Crown

Isaac Dogboe demolishes Hidenori Otake in Round 1

Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe on Saturday night put words into action when he stopped his Japanese veteran opponent Hidenori Otake.

It was Dogboe’s first WBO Super Bantamweight title defense, making light work of his Asian opponent in less than two minutes in the first round.

He stamped his authority right after the bell and succeeded in landing some brilliant left hooks and great jabs.

The referee intervened at a point when Dogboe stepped up his gear to save his opponent from further punishment.

Few months ago, Dogboe wrestled the WBO title from    American Jessie Magdaleno after handing the latter an eleventh round TKO.

Indications are that his intentions to unify the Super Bantamweight divisions-WBC, IBF and WBA belts is on course.
