The Asokwa Constituency Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Edmund Kyei, has predicted that the power crisis, also known as ‘Dumsor,’ will return if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) retains power in the December polls.
He consequently admonished the electorate to vote against the Mahama-led NDC administration if they want to see a permanent end to the power crisis.
Mr. Kyei noted that the NDC administration, from all indications, doesn’t have solution to the power crisis which has led to the collapse of businesses and worsened the plight of the citizenry.
He said “members of the NDC have realized that the power crisis would lead to their electoral defeat so they have now put in place unsustainable measures to resolve the Dumsor from now to the day of the election.”
Mr. Kyei stated that the power crisis would worsen if Ghanaians mistakenly vote for the NDC.
He said despite the numerous assurances given by the NDC government to resolve Dumsor, the menace still persists, adding that the NDC doesn’t have an antidote to the crisis which has adversely affected the country’s economy.
Kufuor Toy Machines
He alleged that the power situation in the Ashanti region had stabilized lately because of the use of the generators that the erstwhile Kufuor administration purchased which the NDC previously described as toy machines.
Mr. Kyei, who is also a member of the Ashanti Regional NPP Communications Team, appealed to Ghanaians, notably those in the Ashanti region, to thank ex-President Kufuor for his vision to purchase the generators.
Vote for Nana
He also urged the electorate to vote massively for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the NPP presidential candidate, to finally address the power crisis with his team.
Mr. Kyei was of the conviction that the numerous challenges facing the citizenry presently would be addressed if the NPP wins the crucial general elections slated for 7th December 2016.
