This year’s edition of the annual Eastern Music Awards will take place on December 9 at the Centre for National Culture (CNC), Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
It is aimed at rewarding musicians who either reside in the Eastern Region or have positively contributed to the steady growth of the music industry in Ghana.
It is also designed to inspire Ghanaian artistes and music industry players to aspire toward making strong influences globally with their music and artistry.
Being organised by Hi 5 Productions, this year’s event, which is the seventh edition, is expected to attract artistes in and around Koforidua, artiste managers, music producers, music fans, among others.
The nominations for this year’s ceremony were unveiled during a special event broadcast on Bryt TV.
Some of the notable categories include Artiste of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best New Artiste, and Album of the Year.
With the nominations unveiled, music lovers are looking forward to witnessing the best of the Eastern Region’s music talent being honoured and celebrated.
A number of performing artistes have been invited to perform at the event which is also expected to attract stakeholders in the showbiz industry.
