The Electoral Commission (EC) has set a Ghc 100,000 filing fee for presidential candidates for 2020 elections.
Also, the Commission has set a Ghc 10,000 filing fee for parliamentary candidates for this year’s elections.
Chairperson of the EC, Jean Mensa, announced the fees to the media on Monday, September 14, 2020 at a press conference held in Accra.
She said the nominations for parliamentary and presidential elections are to be filed from Monday 5th to Friday 9th October 2020.
The filing fees are to be paid in banker’s draft, according to her.
