ECG Announces End Of Dumsor

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) yesterday announced the end of interruption in the power supply to some customers for the system improvement works at the Pokuase Bulk Supply Point (BSP).

It followed the earlier notice for the interruption in power supply for eight days from Monday, May 10 to Monday, May 17, 2021, to enable the tie-in of the newly constructed BSP to GRIDCo’s 330kV transmission line.

“This project forms part of efforts to improve power supply reliability and system voltages,” the company said in a statement, and added that “ECG wishes to thank all stakeholders for their cooperation during the exercise.”

“Other needed interruptions in power supply to enable contractors complete the next project, the Kasoa Bulk Supply Point (BSP), will be communicated in due course,” the company concluded.
