Deputy Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, has emphasised the importance of quality products and excellent customer service in the construction industry.

Speaking at the official launch of EcoGlass Limited, a company specialising in glass processing and aluminum solutions, Mrs. Tetteh-Agbotui noted that finding reliable suppliers can be challenging.

“Having been in the industry for quite a number of years, it has sometimes been difficult finding the right materials for projects. You tend to go round and round,” she said.

She highlighted that suppliers who offer good customer service and flexible credit terms make a significant difference. “This is a good time to celebrate Ghanaian wholesomeness,” she said, urging the company to uphold its standards.

“You have to maintain your standards because it is easy to start off with high standards, but after a while, we tend to slip when we get comfortable,” she added.

Managing Director of EcoGlass Limited, Richard Kobla Borluvie, said the launch represents more than just a business milestone, describing it as a contribution to Ghana’s industrial landscape.

“What we are witnessing is more than a launch. It is the unveiling of a bold vision – one that started as an idea, a conversation, mere drawings on paper and concepts, to now a fully operational moulding manufacturing facility,” he said.

“Not long ago, the ground was empty, filled only with hope and vision. Machines began arriving in crates, decisions were made, designs developed, and layouts set. There were many challenges, but our team remained focused, resilient, and determined,” he added.

Mr. Borluvie noted that the factory represents more than just glass and aluminum, describing it as a major boost to local industry, job creation, and technical skills development. He added that it also reflects a commitment to world-class quality and innovation, as well as a strategic step towards reducing import dependency.

Board Chair of EcoGlass Limited, Daasebre Afome Dankwa, said the company was born out of a simple but powerful idea that glass processing can be more than just an industry.

“An industry can be a driver of transformation. In a world where construction and design demand both quality and responsibility, EcoGlass stands ready to deliver solutions that are durable, efficient, and environmentally conscious,” he said.

Daasebre Afome Dankwa further noted that the launch marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey.

“It reflects the hard work of our management team, the dedication of our employees, and the trust of our partners. Together, we have built not only a factory, but a platform for growth, resilience, and opportunity,” he added.
