EOCO Hunts For 95 Stolen Luxurious Cars

 

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) is in the lookout for some 95 luxurious stolen cars from outside the country which have ended up in Ghana.

According to EOCO, though the vehicles have been frozen by a High Court order, they are still in possession of some car dealers and individuals.

“Pursuant to Section 33 of the Economic and Organised Crime (EOCO) Act, 2010 (Act 804), it is announced for the information of the general public that the under listed vehicles have been frozen by the Executive Director of EOCO and confirmed by the High Court,” EOCO said in a statement released Tuesday April 18, 2023.

“Anybody who is in possession of any of the vehicles is hereby requested to report with the said vehicles and all necessary documents to EOCO not later than May 3, 2023.”

The antigraft institution warned that it might be compelled to take action to consficate the vehicles in accordance with the law on the aforementioned deadline if the individuals failed to hand them over to the organisation.

The vehicles include Mercedes Benz, Porsches, Toyota, Range Rover, Cadillac, Audi, Jeep, Dodge among others.
