Alhaji Alhassan Tapsoba
Former Deputy Coordinator of the National Youth Employment (YEA) under the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, Alhaji Alhassan Tapsoba, has been declared missing in Kumasi.
His wife and children claim they cannot trace his whereabouts after he was reportedly picked up from his house by some unidentified men, including plain clothed policemen on Monday.
According to reports, the unidentified people only said Alhaji Tapsoba was under arrest.
“They marched him to his bedroom, switched off his mobile and whisked him away.”
Alhaji Tapsoba’s wife reportedly lodged complaint with the Ashanti Regional Police Command over her husband’s ‘disappearance.’
The wife claimed Alhaji Tapsoba, who was ‘very sick’ was allegedly not allowed to take his drugs.

Reports indicated that Alhaji Tapsoba allegedly threatened a member of Tiger Eye P.I. led by ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, who operates in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, the Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman, later confirmed that personnel of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) apprehended Alhaji Tapsoba at his house.
“His wife informed us that some people took his husband from their house on Monday morning and the NDC in the region quickly informed the Ashanti Regional Police Command.”
“The police then informed us that Alhaji Tapsoba was arrested by the BNI and he is currently in Accra,” the Regional NDC chairman told Hello FM on yesterday.
Augustus Nana Kwasi said the NDC national executives would take the necessary steps in order to secure his release.
The Regional Chairman claimed the law enforcement agents did not allow Alhaji Tapsobato talk to his lawyers, saying “This is great injustice.”
