THE FOOTBALL Association (FA) has announced the schedule for training, medical, and fitness assessments for referees and assistant referees in preparation for the 2025/26 football season.
According to the FA, all selected match officials will begin with mandatory medical examinations at designated regional health facilities, under the supervision of the Association’s Medical Committee.
After the medical checks, referees will take part in the required national fitness and theoretical assessments, which will be held at two zonal centers to enhance accessibility — the Southern Sector and Northern Sector.
The Southern Sector fitness tests are set for August 8–10, 2025, while the Northern Sector assessments will take place from August 15–17, 2025.
Officials who pass the medical, fitness, and theory stages will be cleared to officiate in top-tier domestic competitions, including the Ghana Premier League, Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, and the MTN FA Cup.
