MULTIPLE award-winning media presenter and red carpet fashion critic, Charlie Dior, has urged celebrities, influencers and attendees of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) to follow the theme for this year’s event, “A Touch of Glitter”.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with DAILY GUIDE, Charlie Dior commended the organisers for announcing the theme for the event, saying, “even though I must say its kind of late for the theme, it’s good it was announced, as it will help guide guests of what to wear.

“And I want the celebrities to know that the theme announced is not a suggestion, but a directive which they need to follow. So for the ladies, my top tip is if their dress does not catch the light from all angles, they need to go back home. I need structure from them, I need tailoring and I need good finishing from them, and they need to add the glitter.

“And for the gentlemen, they need to leave their basic suit. I want them to add texture and embellishment. They need to give us a moment, and when walking the red carpet, they need to be confident.”

Listing his top stars to dominate the red carpet, Charlie Dior advocated for the need to give young stars a chance on the red carpet, saying, “you know what I don’t want to see: the usual people we always see on the red carpet. I want to see new faces.”

He mentioned the likes of King Promise, Moliy, Black Sherif, Amaarae, Efya Nokturnal, Kuami Eugene, Gyakie, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Camidoh.

“The trends that I want to see on the red carpet must match with the theme. I want to see a coercive feel. I want to see high glossed metallic looks, I want the celebrity to think about liquid gold, mirror finishing, structured silhouettes, architectural drama, and they should not be scared of gender fluid fashion,” he added.
