Freda Prempeh
MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Tano North in the Ahafo region, Dr. Freda Prempeh, has once again re-echoed her strong love for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Barely a few weeks after losing the NPP parliamentary primary in her constituency she has started a massive political campaign for the party
According to her, the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, is the perfect choice to continue President Akufo-Addo’s outstanding works for the country.
Speaking to journalists, she stated that her electoral defeat should be relegated to the background so her supporters should rather concentrate on the December 7 polls.
“The important thing is for the party to work hard, rally behind Dr. Bawumia and break the eight to constitute a government to serve the interest of the people”, she said.
The lawmaker, who doubles as the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, said her inability to win the NPP parliamentary primaries should not affect the party.
“The results of the recent NPP primaries should not be seen as impacting negatively the electoral fortunes of our great political party in December,” she admonished.
Dr. Freda Prempeh therefore called for total unity and oneness among the party members in the Tano North Constituency to help the party retain power.
According to her, even though the NPP administration has performed well in government, the party still needs hard work and massive campaign to win the December polls.
“We have done well in government for the past seven years but we still require hard work and massive campaign to retain power,” she admonished her party members.
