Ghana Condemns SA Xenophobic Attacks

The Government of Ghana has strongly recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Government said the attacks on African nationals and the looting of foreign and local shops was unfortunate.

The Ghanaian Government has therefore urged authorities in South Africa to take all necessary action that will guarantee harmonious co-existence between South Africans and Africans resident in South Africa.

The renewed attacks on African nationals started on Thursday, August 29, 2019.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s High Commission in Pretoria has also Ghanaians in South Africa to avoid areas prone to violence.
