Media personality, Vanessa Gyan, has described working in Ghana’s media scene as toxic and commended colleagues who have been speaking the truth about their bad experiences in the media space.

“So many TALENTED people are stepping back from the media space because of how toxic it is. Sad but that’s the reality.

“I remember when I first spoke my truth, folks thought, ‘Oh, you must be exaggerating’…Now look at how many people are echoing my exact truth,” she added.

“When I shot episodes of Sincerely, Vee while PREGGO only for all the footage to ‘disappear’ and then be told I never shot anything. Thank God for the pictures I took while filming.

That space is TOXIC and like I said, I’m glad folks are speaking up…

“When I spoke about my interview with Toke Makinwa and the stress I went through being told no cars or cameras were available only to find out ALL the cameras were available and the drivers were parked…Ya’ll thought, I was just talking out of my…” she disclosed.
